Upon successful completion of the mental health training, Select Training CIC have worked with both primary and secondary schools to attend feel good field trips. This provides the opportunity for students to practise the wellbeing techniques learnt through the course.
Select Training teachers travelled with students via train to Oxenholme, where they met Harrison (Fell Foodies). Students and staff were taken on a guided walk-up Gummer’s How and given the opportunity to learn how to cook outdoors. Harrison is an expert chef, you may be familiar with his cooking, as he featured on the BBC with Dame Mary Berry Love to Cook episode. Select Training teachers practised positive mental health strategies with the students as they connected with nature.
This trip is designed to bring your students together and support wellness through food, strengthening wellbeing.
Upon completion of the Mini Medics Mental Health Training, Select Training travelled with a group of 30 students to Bolton Stadium. Students and staff enjoyed a full access tour of the stadium, lunch in one of the suites and participated in resilience and team building activities. This was a wonderful opportunity for the children to practise the resilience techniques they had learnt on the course.
On this exciting trip, students will travel to the Halliwell Jones Stadium, the home of Warrington Wolves Rugby League club. They will complete the Mini Medics Mental Health Training, followed by a full access tour of the stadium and a rugby league training session.
